I have been into reading since I was a child. I was that kid who would ask for books as presents and I would read all the books in Coleção Vagalume at least 3 times. Therefore I always recommend a lot of reading to my students. We frequently read and discuss pieces of news in class and I often send out links for interesting texts. Books, however, have their magic and students usually have a good time reading them.
On 4Shared you can find many Readers, the story books adapted to ESL learners, and download those in PDF files (free of charge!). It's quite easy to download the book and just e-mail it to your students. It will also save you time trying to get the books back.

I totally agree with you Dani! Students can definitely benefit a lot from reading. And sometimes it's just so difficult to motivate them to read, especially the teens... Thanks a lot for your useful ideas and great links! Hugs, Carol :)
